Sierra Vista Charter High School

The Best View Is the View From the Top

Welcome to the online home of Sierra Vista Charter High School. We are an alternative high school program, serving students in grades 9 through 12 in a hybrid, independent study format. We focus on preparing our graduates for life after high school—the academic, career, and personal development needed to be successful in the workforce.

If you think an alternative educational format might work for your child, we invite you to learn more about our school. You’ll find that our faculty and staff members are dedicated to the success of every student, and that the services we provide are top-notch. We also invite you to contact us if you need any additional information.

A Message from Our Principal

Welcome to Sierra Vista Charter High School, Home of the Mountain Lions. We are located in the City of Tulare and are part of the Tulare Joint Union High School District. Our small school setting serves the needs of Tulare area students.

The staff are caring individuals who work extremely hard to keep our students on track to graduate. We offer a variety of courses that meet district graduation requirements and a full-time counselor provides academic counseling services to monitor student progress. The staff and administration take pride in providing individual attention to our students.

Facilities include a computer lab, a student “hang-out” area, work area, science, math, and English classrooms. The setting is welcoming and provides a positive atmosphere where students know they can come to learn and build relationships.

Our campus activities provide students an opportunity to get involved and be part of the school culture. We offer extracurricular athletics and an ASB program. PBIS and Character Counts are some of the most recent positive intervention programs we implemented. Our goal is to provide students the same opportunities they would experience at the comprehensive high schools. It is our mission to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive for all.

We look forward to working with you to provide a valuable educational experience. If you are looking for a small school setting and can work independently, Sierra Vista Charter High School is the right place for you.

Thank you,

Daniel Dutto
